The winter edition of the Red Sea Jazz Festival returns

The winter edition of the Red Sea Jazz Festival will take place from February 23-25. The event will feature an international lineup of artists, including Spanish pianist Chano Dominguez, Italian trumpeter Flavio Boltro, and Israeli saxophonist Eli Dejibri, who will pay tribute to the late French pianist Michel Petrucciani.

American singer Jazzmeia Horn, known for her win in the Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Competition, will also perform.

Other notable acts include American saxophonist Avraham Fefer and his quartet, and the foursome led by Azerbaijani pianist Isfar Sarabski, known for their mix of groove, bluesy riffs, and mugham.

Israeli singer-songwriter and pianist Shlomi Shaban, with siblings Eyal and Assaf Talmudi, and emotive singer-songwriter Arkadi Duchin will also perform.

Israeli offerings include New York-based guitarist Yotam Silberstein and his trio with flutist Itai Kriss, as well as bassist Assaf Hakimi and his sextet.

Brazilian-born Israeli percussionist Joca Perpignan, reedman Asaf Yuria, and singer-songwriter Rona Kenan will pay homage to the 1964 album Getz/Gilberto by American saxophonist Stan Getz and Brazilian guitarist Joao Gilberto. The album helped put Brazilian music on the global map and won a Grammy.
