The 100 is a show about the nuclear apocalypse on Earth. The series is set after 97 years when this devastating incident wiped out almost every form of life on the planet. Over 2,400 survivors live on a single space station which is orbiting the earth and is called Ark. But soon it’s found that the life-support systems are failing and in order to find a solution on earth, 100 juvenile prisoners are sent back to earth to see if life’s possible again on the planet. When they reach, they find that there are some survivors on the earth and are living in groups as Grounders, who live in a clan, Reapers, also living like Grounders but have become Cannibals (people who kill and eat people), and Mountain Men.Now, these 100 people struggle to survive on earth, fighting with the Grounders, trying to communicate with the Ark and also facing the harsh surface conditions.
This story evolves in each season and in the second season, only 48 out of 100 remains. They all are captured by the Mountain men. The Mountain men are doing some scientific experiment and transfusing blood of others as an anti-radiation treatment. They now find out that the bone marrow of the people came from space has more potential and with that, they will be able to survive outside the containment. Now, to save the group, the Ark inhabitants have made an alliance with the Grounders and establish a Station.
In the third season, it is revealed that an artificial intelligence, A.L.I.E. is responsible for launching the nuclear apocalypse. The A.L.I.E. takes over the minds of the Grounders but in the last episode, Clarke destroys the AI.
As the story evolves, in the fourth season, hundreds of nuclear reactors melt.Owing to this, the life form’s next to impossible on the planet. The survivors have to find a way to out of the situation. An old bunker is discovered by the remaining people that can keep 1,200 people for over 5 years. So the 1200 people get in the bunker and a small group gets back to Ark.
In season 5, some grounders, including Clarke and Madi, discover the way to survive the nuclear radiation and living on an only green space left on the earth. Now, those people who survived in the bunker and space came back to the ground. There is more fight and disaster coming on their way. Do watch the show to follow if you haven’t yet.
