The story of the show revolves around a homicide detective Harry Bosch. The fifth season of the show was announced even before the fourth season was aired. This tells the popularity of the show. Season four was based on the sixth book of Connelly’s Harry Bosch series, Angels Flight. In this season, Bosch leads a task force assigned to solve the murder mystery of a prosecutor who’s killed a night before his civil rights trial against the LAPD.

So, if we observe the pattern of the previous releases, we’d expect the fifth season to be out around April 2019. There is no trailer available for the fifth season yet.
